"Rrrrrrruuuuffffffff we there yet?"
KIDS. Don'tcha just luv'em.
When they are littlies they just don't stop asking questions. Usually they start with "Can I..." but the one they made a film about is a pretty common one when they are in lock down in the back seat of the family car on the way somewhere, no?
If they are going on holidays or to a party at a friends house that question "Are we there yet?" becomes quite aaaagghhmm....wot you say....aaarrgghm....straining, huh?
But that's because the poor little darlings are sooooo excited to be going to whatever destination it is you are taking them. Joy, excitement, anxiety, anticipation, sometimes even fear, are some of the mixed emotions they are feeling prior to arrival.
As I have pointed out previously pre-teenage years are the BIIIIG learning years. These are the years that set us up for the rest of our lives. These are the knowledge accumulation years where we are being prepared for what life is about to blast us into.
Kids, especially when they are younger don't give a hoot about life things. All they wanna do is have fun. Remember?
Ohhhh how life changes........
In a blink fun is replaced by responsibility. Little is replaced by Big. And we don't ask "Are we there yet?" anymore because most times we don't want to get there!
All of a sudden there is a FINAL DESTINATION, and one we would prefer not to think about......
I wonder if we become kids again. Hmmmm....maybe.
I wonder if we were kids before we were kids. Hmmmmmm....maybe.
Kids don't think of questions like that, they just want to know about fun things like "Are we there yet?" and "Can I have?"
So why do we big adults start worrying about the meaning of life, our purpose, why catastrophes happen, and other stuff like that. Hmmmm......
Maybe we aren't meant to.
Maybe we should start learning a bit about ourselves. The REAL ourselves.
Then when we out live our precious 'kid' times and grow into BIG adult kids, and the final destination we all have starts to loom ever so closer, we can be like our little kids and not have any fear or reservations about asking:
ARE WE THERE YET ?????
Maybe, just maybe if we try to LEARN a little more about ourselves that is meaningful in relation to our final destination, things like our Universal selves, our Consciousness selves, our Divine selves, and how they interact with our BIG selves, then maybe, just maybe, whether we are there yet or not, maybe just won't matter........
