"To fly as fast as thought, to anywhere that is,
you must begin by knowing that you
have already existed"
- Jonathon Livingston Seagull
Because we are born into a material world it is near impossible for us to imagine or understand a world without time, space or mortality. Basically what we can't see and feel we can't understand.
Now I am not trying to trivialise our very existence but I am trying to simplify our understanding of it in the Western world. Fortunately, even our Western scientists are finally beginning to accept that there must be some credence in the Eastern philosophy of BEING. For example the medical profession is now saying that there is a MIND and that it is within our human body but not physically. It is not in the brain which most Westerners were 'lead' to believe, although the mind can work through our brain, no?
So why is the Western world beginning to 'bend'? A matter of opinion I guess but because our man made society is really disintegrating in terms of sustainability, and rapidly, weee individual dots are taking the decision making into our own hands and 'discovering' the mystical philosophies of the Eastern world. It would seem that after millenia they are finally providing some answers, and along with it some individual peace, in an otherwise frantic society that seems to be causing its own demise.
Let's hope that the thingie we call 'man' has caught up in time with philosophies that have been neglected since time began. After all it was 'man' that created a label for time and space, a form that in fact was never a form, not material anyway. Our Eastern sages were able to work it out.........
